" Unity of Islamic Nation "

Muslim unity is not founded on nationalism or patriotism or any other form of manmade bonds . Muslims unity is based rather on Aqeedah (belief) that does not recognize any racial, gender or colour discrepancies.

Allah said in the Holy Quran (Translation) : “ And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves ” (Surah Aal-Imran:103)

This meaning of Muslim unity is manifestly reiterated in all the Islamic obligations. In fact, every Muslim institution is geared not only towards the theoretical concept of unity but also towards the practical implementation of this Muslim unification.

The Muslim five daily prayers are very much encouraged to be performed congregationally. A Muslim is promised 27 rewards for every congregational prayer whereas one reward for every prayer offered individually.

Hajj, performed annually by approximately 2.5 Million Muslims, is another example. Those pilgrims come from various races and speak different languages, but they go to the same place in the same period of time and perform the same rituals.

This Muslim unity is described as brotherhood and sisterhood . Allah said in the Quran (Translation) : “ The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islâmic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allâh, that you may receive mercy” (Surah Al-Hujraat:10)

Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) has described Islamic Nation as such : " You find the Muslims in their mutual love and compassion, like one body, should any organ of it fall ill, the rest of the body will share in the fever and sleeplessness that ensues "

1. Equality and equity: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “O people! You all come from Adam and Adam was created from dust. There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab nor is there a superiority of a white over a black except for piety.”

2. Sincere love: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “None of you has complete faith until he wishes for his brother that which he wishes for himself.”

3. Mercy: The prophet (peace be upon him) said: “You will not be true believers until you show mercy” and also said : “Allah is not merciful to those who do not show mercy to people.”

4. Tolerance: Man is liable to commit fault, hence everyone should portray tolerance. Islam encourages people to forgive one another. Allah said: “Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord and for paradise whose width is that of the whole of the heavens and of the earth prepared for the righteous who spend whether in prosperity or in adversity, who restrain anger and pardon people for Allah loves those who do good.” (Surah Aal-Imran : 133,134)

Prophet Muhammad stroke the highest example in this regard. The prophet (peace be upon him) stroke the highest parable in his practical life that was full of mercy even with his enemies , On the day of Uhud when the disbelievers killed many of the prophet’s companions, wounded his cheek and broke his tooth , one of the companions said to the prophet : Shall you not make supplication against them. The merciful prophet (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah! Guide my people, since they do not know”.
